At Monto State School our behaviour system is PBL. PBL stands for positive behaviour for learning. We celebrate the positive behaviour we want to see in our students. This behaviour focuses on our 4 school values:

  • Be safe
  • Be respectful
  • Be responsible
  • Be a thinker

Gotchas and rewards

We reward students who follow "The Four Bees" by giving students gotcha cards. Once students receive a gotcha card they get stamps in their bee books. Students collect their stamps throughout the year to get different awards for different levels:

  • Bronze (300 bees)
  • Silver (400 bees)
  • Gold (500 bees)
  • Platinum (600 bees)
  • Super Bee (700 bees or more)

The Mega Draw!

Another exciting part of PBL is the mega draw, which we have once every term on the last day of school. We have a variety of prizes that change each term. Our prizes have ranged from LEGO sets, puzzles and board games, sports equipment, local football jerseys and even an inflatable swimming pool. We find this to be our most exciting time of the term. Even the teachers get involved in the mega draw!
