We invite all families to become a part of our learning community, "Ever onwards" and developing Monto State School as a highly respected part of our local community. This is supported by a very active Parents and Citizens Association which works alongside our school team to provide great learning experiences for our students.
Our school engages fully in the Australian Curriculum, providing high quality educational experiences for our students in an environment which is safe and holds very high expectations for both students and staff. We want our students to be successful people who can function in society as individuals and as productive team members.
Academically we have strong processes for identifying the needs of individuals and implement intervention programs and high performance strategies, in conjunction with personal goals in Literacy and Numeracy, in order to assist students to achieve continuous growth at a high standard.
The facilities at Monto State School ensure we support 21st Century learning styles, with modern and creative learning spaces supported by high quality technology.
Extra-curricular activities are a strong feature of our school, students have opportunities to participate in a wide-range of activities. These vary from year to year and are organised and run by staff during school breaks. We have an active and successful Instrumental Music program, Camp Program, Interschool Sport, Learn to Swim program and Japanese lessons for Prep to Year 6 students. As a rural school we work hard to ensure our learning and activities are linked to our local area.
We look forward to welcoming you to Monto Sate School.
